Privacy

This page explains the limited information Kool Finds stores or processes when you browse the site.

Information you provide

Kool Finds does not use customer accounts, accept orders, or operate a contact form. If you email Kool Finds, the dedicated mailbox receives your email address, message, and any information you choose to include so the message can be reviewed and answered. Do not send payment details, passwords, or other sensitive information, and do not enter personal information into the search box.

Consent and cookie preferences

Kool Finds uses the CookieConsent preference manager to remember your choices in a strictly necessary first-party cookie named kf_consent for up to 180 days. Visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Crown Dependencies, and Switzerland are asked before optional analytics is enabled. If a visitor’s region cannot be determined, Kool Finds uses the same consent-first approach.

In other regions, analytics may be enabled by default where consent is not generally required for this limited use. You can reject analytics or change a previous choice at any time through the Cookie Preferences control in the footer. Rejecting analytics clears Kool Finds’ accessible GA4 cookies and does not prevent catalog browsing, search, Favorites, or Amazon links from working.

Google Analytics 4

Kool Finds uses Google Analytics 4 with measurement ID G-KRSFR1LZLE only when regional rules or your saved preference allow analytics. GA4 may collect usage information such as pages viewed, approximate session timing, referring pages, browser and device characteristics, general geographic information, and interactions with search, collections, favorites, product cards, Load More, and outbound affiliate links.

Kool Finds uses this information to understand how the catalog is used, improve navigation and editorial choices, measure site performance, and identify which product links receive interest. Google processes analytics data under its own terms and privacy practices. Google Consent Mode v2 communicates the analytics choice; advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization remain denied because Kool Finds does not currently use Google advertising tags.

Cookies and browser controls

When analytics is allowed, Google Analytics may use first-party cookies including _ga and _ga_* for up to two years to distinguish visits and maintain session state. You can also delete or block cookies through your browser and may use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on where supported. Browser controls can operate in addition to the on-site Cookie Preferences control.

Favorites

Favorites are stored in your browser’s localStorage when you use that feature. They remain on that browser and device and are not attached to a Kool Finds account because Kool Finds does not use accounts. A favorite action is measured only when analytics is allowed; the saved Favorites list itself is not submitted to a Kool Finds account.

Search and affiliate links

When analytics is allowed, search terms, collection visits, product impressions, and outbound affiliate-link clicks may be measured in GA4. Search terms should not contain personal information. Kool Finds can measure that an affiliate link was selected, but it cannot observe or confirm whether you complete a purchase on Amazon.

External sites

When you follow a link to Amazon or another external site, that site’s privacy practices apply. Kool Finds does not control the external site’s collection or use of information.
